Sub: CANCELLATIONS OF RESERVED BOOKINGS WITHOUT
PRIOR NOTIFICATIONS |
|
To all our Esteemed Customers
With reference to the above subject, we wish to update our esteemed
customers that airlines under the circular of IATA (International Air
Transport Association) have formed new reservations procedures for promotion
of Airline Market and betterment of offering services to the users of their
products.
Previously, Commercial Airlines had 3 divisions of booking classes in their
Aircrafts especially the Big Aero planes, i.e Super VC 10 and the Boeings.
Those are the Y (Economy class/ C (Business) & F (First class).
In the recent years, unanimously all airlines started to advertise
Market/Promotional Fares which were cheaper then those of the
Economy/Business & First class. However those classified ones although
cheaper, they have restrictive conditions i.e immediate purchase or issuing
the tickets once the booking is confirmed or else to face automatic
cancellation by the Airlines systems without notice.
We as Agents cannot under any circumstances reinstate cancelled bookings
which were due to time limit, unless space available to rebook, and in most
cases fare difficulties due to high demand of the offer.
In order that, we may make full use of the offer to secure the so called
classified reservations. Which would also enable us to quote you cheaper
fares, we again insist to request you to hasten processing your orders/LPO/
cheque and cash to reach us on time to help us avoid the so called Automatic
cancellation due to time limit. Delay in approving our quotations from our
first itinerary/s attracts new itinerary and fresh quotation after
cancellation which always becomes higher than the original ones. This is due
to change of reservation which provides higher class. The higher the class
of reservation the higher the fare.
Following the above procedures, Agents cannot block seats using fake or
fictitious ticket numbers which as well face rejections by the systems and
debit to us due to CRS booking fees have risen faster then any other
distribution costs over the past few years hence airlines also faced a rapid
growth of its CRS costs.
